As the Engineering Profession has evolved over the past decade, so has the need of our engineering students for access to tools which more closely match those now used by current practitioners of the Profession.

Providing ready access to these tools has, from the start, been a prime motivating principle for maintaining this Student Design Lab.   The computers, the specialized software, and the limited-access location are all directed to the educational needs specific to our Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering students.

The Department's commitment to this Lab has been consistent and substantial over the past 10 years.   The funds devoted to this facility are taken from a very limited Department budget, and this alone demonstrates the importance our faculty gives to this technical resource.

We do hope you will take full advantage of the opportunities the Lab provides to better your technical competence and to enhance your professional experience.
