Jeff Crandall Associate Professor Telephone: (434) 296-7288 Office: MEC 315 E-mail: jrc2h@virginia.edu Jeff Crandall has served on the faculty since 1994. He has authored more than 100 publications including refereed journal articles and conference papers. Dr. Crandall is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers, the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine, the International Research Council on the Biomechanics of Impact and the American Society of Biomechanics. He is an associate editor for the journal Crash Prevention and Injury Control. Dr. Crandall serves as the Director of Research for the University's Automobile Safety Laboratory. Dr. Crandall’s current research focuses on the development of an injury criteria for lower extremities in the automotive impact environment. Other research interests include evaluation of the effectiveness of automobile restraint systems and the investigation of airbag-induced injuries. More information Publications |
