We are always looking for exceptional students to work with us in uncovering new knowledge and exploring original ways to use it. We hope that after examining our web site you are interested in joining us. Admission to the graduate program is highly competitive. It is decided based on your academic record, test scores, recommendation letters, and experience.

Many of our graduate students do not have an undergraduate degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. Students with undergraduate degrees in electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, physics, mathematics, and biology have been successful in the program. Our curriculum is designed to accommodate non-traditional students with undergraduate degrees in other scientific or engineering fields.

It is not necessary for you to have other means of financial support. Almost all of our graduate students receive both full tuition coverage and a stipend ($17,000/year for MS Students, $20,000/year for Ph.D. students).

You will be required to submit letters of recommendation and college transcripts. You will also need to take the Graduate Record Examination
General Test. You are not required or encouraged to take any subject test. Students for whom English is not their native language are required to demonstrate proficiency in English by completing the TOEFL exam administered by the Educational Testing Service. They are also encouraged to take the Test of Spoken English (TSE).

You may apply to our program by visiting the Graduate Programs
